Swedish Champions AIK Appoint Alex Miller

AIK Solna have announced Alex Miller will take charge of the Swedish Champions.

The Scot replaces Bjorn Wesstrom, who the club will keep as assistant manager to Miller.

"I share AIK's philosophy of playing football – not just 'kicking' football."
(Alex Miller on his appointment)

The Swedish champions have been struggling this season and lie 14th in the 16-team Allsvenskan.

Miller formerly coached Hibernians and Aberdeen so he has the adequate experience to steer the ship at AIK, who are not performing well in the Allsvenskan Liga as they are currently in 14th position.

But Miller, who's most famous coaching role was that of Liverpool FC in 2005 when the Merseysiders went on to win the UEFA Champions League in 2005, will not be daunted by the task in hand.
